I’ve been part of one book club or another for many years. For the past three years, I have been the organizer of a book club combining all of my favorite things: books, food, wine, and amazing women. We eat, drink, and have lively discussions in some of NYC’s most popular restaurants. From celeb hot spots to neighborhood gems, and from dinner to brunch to high tea, we do our best to try them all.
While we are usually discussing the latest best-sellers in fiction, we also explore other genres from non-fiction to the classics. We’re up for anything that promises to promote a lively discussion or provoke a heated debate.
I’ve started this blog as a way to share (and remember!) those experiences. Some of the reviews I post will be for books and restaurants we’ve enjoyed as a group. Others will be for books and restaurants I experience on my own or with other friends. Reviews will always be my own unbiased, honest reviews. If I have received an ARC, or a restaurant has given some our group a special consideration or promotion, I will always disclose that information in the relevant post.
In my spare time I like to rescue dogs.
